This series was developed by Hans Coolsma, in Holland, with the beginning recorder player in mind. Each has a thumb bushing to prevent wear on the thumbhole. They are available in pearwood which is impregnated with wax, making the wood quite stable and lessening the need for oiling and maintenance. These recorders play with the tone and response of more expensive instruments but at a surprisingly reasonable price
