Dean Markley Vintage Electric Re-Issue strings, re-released at the 2008 NAMM show where it won "Best in Show" for "Best New Accessory", are nickel-plated steel hand-wound slowly over a round core, which affords the outer string wrap to have 100% contact with the core wire. This allows the string to vibrate completely for maximum sustain, creating a warm, full sound distinctive of classic rock and roll.
