Since the 1881 opening of Francois Lorée's oboe factory in France,
Lorée oboes have been known around the world for their high quality.
Since the factory has cut production, Lorée Oboes are harder to obtain.
The AK bore offers somewhat more conical bore than other Lorée models, making
it more narrow near the top and slightly wider at the bell. The resulting sound
is focused and dark, with less of an edge to it. This bore is very popular.
The conservatory mechanism includes all trills, left hand F key, as well as
forked F resonance and B flat resonance.
