Made of durable black anodized aluminum, the Reed Machine is accurate to +/- .001" and is guaranteed to copy any reed - commercial or handmade. Once a guide reed is accurately placed on the left side of the table and a blank is properly placed on the right, the copying can begin of any E-flat clarinet, B-flat clarinet, Soprano saxophone or Alto saxophone reed (with attachment). With a mere movement from left to right, fine strips of cane are removed from the blank until a new reed is formed. After clipping, the reed is ready to play!
