The case is hinged along its length, folding open into two equal halves. Aircraft plywood construction allows the case shell to flex on impact, providing superb shock absorbing qualities. The flex in the case is absorbed by the back of the thick rubber inserts. 8.25 inch diameter tubular construction for maximum strength and space efficiency. Removable Inserts cut from highest quality shock absorbing rubber blocks, as used for packaging scientific equipment. All inserts lined with top quality Supa-Crushed Velvet. Wide range of colors available. No pressure on any Clarinet keywork. Superb insulation provided by foam between leather cover and wooden shell, from thick foam/velvet cushions between the two halves of the case, and from the rubber inserts themselves. Superb protection from heavy rain. Removable leather tool bags supplied for inside the case. Detachable external tool/accessory bag supplied (apprx: 5"x 8" x 1.5"). Non-breakable Velcro fastening system (no zips!) Will fit all makes of clarinet. Buffet "Elite" clarinets require different inserts. Adjustable thick leather shoulder strap, and leather shoulder pad with rough leather grip on the shoulder pad to prevent slipping. Both leather handles are held together with leather wrap-around sleeve for extra comfort. Large leather detachable music pocket (17"x12") on outside of case.
